At Imagine That Photography, newborn sessions are scheduled within the first 5 to 14 days of birth, when babies are sleepiest, most flexible, and most at peace. Every wrap, every prop, every pose is chosen with intention — and with your baby's comfort and safety first, always.
You don't need to prepare a thing. Bring your baby, and I'll handle everything else.

CONSULTATION
You come into the studio in person. We plan every detail — wraps, colors, props, family poses — so your session day is completely seamless.

YOUR
SESSION
Sessions are 3 to 4 hours. I work entirely at your baby's pace — feeding breaks, soothing time, whatever is needed. Your only job is to relax.

REVEAL APPOINMENT
We meet to view your images together and you choose your favorites. From there you'll select your collection and any wall art — seeing exactly what will live in your home before anything is ordered.

HEIRLOOM PORTRAITS
Your portraits, albums, and wall art are printed and crafted at our fine art laboratory in Italy and delivered to the studio ready to hang, gift, and treasure for generations.

My studio is fully stocked with hand-knit wraps, stretch fabrics, organic textiles, and carefully curated props — all chosen for softness, safety, and beauty. Neutral tones, warm creams, organic textures.
You don't need to bring props, blankets, or outfits. Everything is here and ready. We'll plan your color palette and style together at your design consultation.

Everything you want to know
When should I book my newborn session?
Book during your second trimester — ideally between 20 and 30 weeks pregnant. This guarantees your spot and ensures I can schedule your session within the first 5 to 14 days of birth, which is the ideal window.
How long does a newborn session take?
Newborn sessions are typically 3 to 4 hours. We work entirely at your baby's pace — feeding breaks, soothing, and settling time are all built in. There is no rushing.
What do I need to bring?
Just your baby — and any feeding supplies you need. The studio is fully stocked with wraps, props, and everything else. We'll have planned your session setup together at your design consultation beforehand.
Can siblings and parents be included?
Absolutely — and I encourage it. Sibling moments and parent portraits are some of the most emotional images in the gallery. We always include family for a portion of the session alongside the posed newborn portraits.
Is it safe for my baby?
Your baby's safety is the first priority, always. I am trained in safe newborn posing and handling. The studio is warm, clean, and designed entirely around baby's comfort. No pose is ever forced — we work with your baby, not against them.
